You may find as many ways Heavy Duty Tarpaulins may be utilized to repair a leaky roof as there are tarpaulins on the many online websites. We hope to provide you with a few ways to keep your pet happy and dry.
1. "Tent" a tarpaulin over the existing pet house. This method will require the use of stakes and rope to secure the tarpaulin to the ground once it is covering the pet house. Form a "tent" over the roof with the tarpaulin either in direct contact with the roof, or, provide a space between the tarpaulin and roof by way of some type of spacing material. Secure the sides of the tarpaulin to stakes which are secured into the ground by tying rope or other suitable material through eyes on the tarpaulin. In soft ground the stakes should be pounded in at a slight angle away from the pet house. If stakes are not suitable, i.e., pavement, rocks, etc. some type of heavy material may be used to secure the tarpaulin.
2. Attach tarpaulin to an existing structure, i.e., house, garage, shed, etc. and then stretch it over the pet house. The free end of the tarpaulin may then be secured to the bottom of the pet house or even tucked underneath to keep it secure.
3. If the pet house is located inside of a fenced area such as a "run" or "kennel", the Heavy Duty Tarpaulin may be secured to such fencing in a number of ways. The tarpaulin may be used as a covering over the top panel of fencing, then left to hang over the sides and secured to the fencing by rope or elastic cords. Depending upon the size of the enclosure and/or the tarpaulin, the material may also provide protection from the wind, dust and other potentially harmful environmental hazards.
